Hey Buddy,
There is yet another story behind the name peerumedu which seems to make more sense.

They say the name peerumedu was devolved from the local usage "pera medu" indicating "hill of Guava" (the term �pera" means guava tree and medu means hill).
This sounds to be more sound as the sepulcher of peermuhammad is at kuttikkanam .Moreover, earlier, say some 25 years back, one could find the wild guava trees (with many variants and sub-species) in abundance in the serine hills in and around peermade which has now denigrated into concrete jungles.

I know that Azutha is the old name of peermade. But i am using the map from Google Earth In the website and that is why, It is displaying the Azutha.

in the map position of peermade shown is wrong. there is no place as in the name of peermade before kuttikkanam. actuly azhutha is the old name of peermade. the position where marked as azhutha is actully peermade.

This Place is inside an estate now and not easily accessible.
There is a place called Memala before Elapara after Kuttikkanam. from here there is a road heading west. Move along this road for about 7 km and you will reach madamakulam
